Getting to know you...

Wheel of Change Tarot
#0 The Fool

Congratulations on beginning your Tarot Journey!  This can be the beginning of a lifelong friendship between you and your deck(s) of cards.  How you choose your cards will be as individual as fingerprints.  The end result should be this- a working relationship with your deck that will last for the rest of your life.

Once you have chosen your deck and brought it home, it is time to become acquainted with the cards.  Find a comfortable spot to sit with your deck, and just look through the cards, if an card catches your eye, stop and look at it closely.  What inages are on the card?  What do they say to you?  How do you feel looking at the card?  Now, look in the book that (Hopefully) comes with your deck at the meaning of the card you have drawn.

How does it compare with your personal interpretations?  How does the book's meaning match up with your feelings?

You will notice that there seem to be two decks within the Tarot Deck, first is the Major Arcana, and then the Minor Arcana.  The suits of the Minor Arcana arfe usually-Wands, Cups, Swords, and Pentacles.  They correspond to the suits of modern playing cards; Wands to Clubs, Cups to Hearts, Swords to Spades, and Pentacles to Diamonds.

Play (yes-play) with the cards until you start to feel tired or headache-y.

When you are finished with your cards, put them back in order with the Major Arcana on top.  If possible, wrap the deck in a square of silk when you are not using them.
